I got this book when I was at BEA because I am a big fan of mermaids. When I was growing up, Ariel was my favorite disney princess, so I like to read all the different mermaid books out there.

I'm a total mermaid junkee for starters. The second reason that I picked up this book was because of how pretty the cover was. I mean really, isn't it just so pretty? This was also another book that I heard great things about and so when I joined Netgalley, this was the first book that I requested and got. Sadly for you the book doesn't hit stores until June 12, 2012.

I love everything mermaid, so when I saw this book while I was in Mystic, I figured it was a sign from the big man on campus. It was also on my to-reads list simply because it had mermaid in the title which meant that I needed to read it. It wasn't a waste of my $8, so that was a win also.

I won this book as part of the Firstreads giveaways. I love mermaids so I thought this might be interesting. Well, there really aren't mermaids and this author really needed an editor. I have nothing against Selfpubs, but if you're going to do it, do yourself a favor, and have someone -multiple someones- edit your work for basics, such as quotation marks.
