Author: Tahereh Mafi
Goodreads Rating: 4.44
Pages: 465
Format: ARC from NYCC12

tick, tick, tick, tick, tickit's almosttime for war.
Juliette has escaped to Omega Point. It is a place for people like her—people with gifts—and it is also the headquarters of the rebel resistance.
She's finally free from The Reestablishment, free from their plan to use her as a weapon, and free to love Adam. But Juliette will never be free from her lethal touch.
Or from Warner, who wants Juliette more than she ever thought possible.
In this exhilarating sequel to Shatter Me, Juliette has to make life-changing decisions between what she wants and what she thinks is right. Decisions that might involve choosing between her heart—and Adam's life.

OhMyGod.OhMyGod.OhMyGod.OhMyGod.OhMyGod.OhMyGod.OhMyGod.OhMyGod. I just can't keep anything in. I was so excited to get this book, but I kept putting off reading it because I knew once I read it, then I would just have to wait even longer to get the next book because it's just so far away. I mean, I just can't even handle the thoughts that I am having about what is going to happen about this next book.

Everything you thought you felt about this book, thats going to change with this book. We get to see more of Juliette and Warner, and Kenji and Adam and you just get to see more of everyone. That absolutely thrilled me, seeing more and getting to know everyone. I was laughing and squealing and shouting and gasping at so many wonderful things in this book. I don't even know where to start talking about what I loved about this book and why! I read the first book before I starting blogging so there is no real written record of it, but I was easily pulled back into this really messed up world.

I was so happy to be dragged into this wonderful world. I felt bad for Juliette as we see that all of the progress that she had made seems to have been undone. While I felt bad for her, I also was annoyed by her lack of effort in trying to socialize. I wanted her to have adjusted from being like a scared mouse, but instead two weeks after Shatter Me ends, she seems to be on the brink of another break. I wanted to grab her and shake her and tell her that she needs to stop having a pity party, and do what she could do. It made me more than happy when Kenji did give her a talking to about this.

I adored getting more of Kenji. He added the comic relief element that was really needed as things got more intense with Adam and Juliette and with the really insane war. His humor made me feel better as I got sad about other elements in the book. He literally gave me the most LOL moments as I was reading and I just wanted to hug him. Forget Adam and Warner I just want Kenji to love me. What I loved most about him was that he seemed to fully grasp what was going on around him and what was happening, and that was what made his humor and reactions to things so great and appropriate.

Mafi was once again very poetic as she spun the twisted web in Unravel Me. We had a lot of new characters that were introduced, and I'm still not sure how I felt about Castle who seemed to be the leader of the resistance. I did enjoy Brendan and Winston as well, who didn't get nearly enough page time if you ask me. I felt at some points that there was a little too much in the ways of the language, but it didn't impede my reading. The story still flowed which I loved, but I did think that there was a lot of talk of igniting. It was wonderful imagery, but it was used too often in my opinion.

I'm not sure who I ship Juliette with any more. I used to love Adam, hate Warner and that was that. But then I read Destroy Me and I felt sympathetic towards him, and then this book happened. I think I might ship Warner and Juliette. I felt that Adam was a big baby in this entire book and it drove me nuts, absolutely nuts. That being said, I think the final book is going to be called "Ignite Me" but who knows.

  1. I just finished reading both Shatter Me and Destroy me and I absolutely can not wait to get to this one. Yay, for more of Kenji. I really like him! I also hated Warner in Shatter Me and after Destroy Me I softened up to him a lot. Who knows how I'll feel after Unravel Me though.
